This only seems to happen when you freshly launch terminal.
once terminal is ready, immediately start typing fast - even if it is gibberish. what you will find is one of the keys that you type will get stuck in the pressed position and continuously enter a repeat loop. so in the terminal window you will see the key appearing repeatedly nonstop.
