Rather than pollute my previous post and for those still using 1.1.0.39 (https://together.jolla.com/question/61275/11039-mediaplayer-album-art-not-showing-at-all/), I have decided to open a new thread. If this isn't the correct thing to do, then admin/anyone, please advise.

Okay, still this problem persists for some users, especially for myself in Vaarainjarvi SFOS.

I loaded 8 albums by Orbital, all with cover art within the folders, each album has a different title name but the artist is the same, 'Orbital'. The files are loaded to /home/nemo/Music. (i.e Orbital - The Green Album or Orbital - Snivilisation)

Open Mediaplayer - nothing, still the tracker is searching. Eventually, I have my 105 tracks but only ONE album??, ONE??, there are 8 albums, all with cover art, all jpg artwork, all the same size and yet Mediaplayer reports only ONE album and shows NO ART AT ALL. (Incidentally, it doesn't matter what size album art work I use, it still never show, I have tried different sizes, different formats and soon realised I am wasting my time, size is irrelevant!).

I deleted all music from /home/nemo/Music and placed all folders onto my 32GB sd card, rebooted, waited for tracker to do its thing, and back to square one!!, still no album art, still all 105 tracks from EIGHT albums are lumped as ONE album/artist!

UPDATE: - As per @silta @nthn suggestion, I downloaded MP3Tag. Some success!, I now have Album Name and Album Artist displaying in Mediaplayer, I chose to 'embed' the artwork into the tracks using MP3Tag, but still NO album art appears in Mediaplayer! (tracker was reset, phone rebooted as well, still no show for album art - yet).
