In Yliaavanlampi, when you tap a link that opens in a new tab, in that new tab it is possible to ”go back” to a blank page with the back button.
I think the correct behaviour in a newly opened tab would be either that
1) the back button is disabled, or
2) tapping the back button closes the tab (requested here).
Note that this only happens with a link that is defined as opening in a new window/tab, not when you long-press a link and select ”open in new tab”.
