What's the reason for not allowing questions, answers and comments to be found via search engines?

Given the state of the together.jolla.com Askbot search facilities (largely broken), it would be advantageous if the site could be searched using terms such as "site:together.jolla.com" on google.com.

Granted there is a sitemap link, but for whatever reason Google isn't indexing together.jolla.com at all right now.now. If I search Google with site:together.jolla.com, it returns only the following link:
