Please don't go backwards (Maemo6 anyone?), having (global-)gestures for events-view is just fine. Partner-screen has to go somewhere else. Now with ambience-switcher in top-swipe you have 2 more gestures available (not seen in demos yet). I know that split-screen needs a gesture too so how about pulling covers with two fingers?

Without partner-screen and with events-view where it is now there is no need for it and the buttons on covers can be gestures again!
