Many apps open application in sub view, e.g. settings - transfered files are open from event view after file download. Now if user slide right to exit from sub view (and gets into main view), user cannot get back by sliding left to undo the action. I think it makes sense if you could "undo" the previous slide by making instant slide "back" without need to select the correct item to go back to sub view.
