I've had my device for over 14 months and I've never ever had 3g signal.
I'd checked and double check with my carrier and my settings, etc, and I never had beter than 2g (most carriers don't support 4g here yet). Still, I wasn't 100% sure if it wasn't somehow the carrier's or SIMs fault.
Today I grabbed a friend's iPad 3g, stuffed my SIM in it, copied the APN settings, and it worked immediately, which pretty much means the issue is on my side/the jolla's side.
I live in Argentina. My providers during this time have been Movistar (a telefonica subsidiary), Tuenti (another telefonica subsidiary) and another which I can't recall right now - probably Claro (from the mexican Claro group).
Is it possible that there's an issue with unsupported frequencies? If so, can anything be done?
