Remember the clock on N9? When setting alarm, calendar event or timer, tapping on the outer circle (minutes) makes the little circle showing minutes always stops at 5 minutes intervals. After that, if you need minutes not rounded to 5 minutes, you can press and hold the circle and adjust to a specific minute.
It seems to me that such a clock is faster, more user friendly and more intuitive.
I guess most setting of an alarm, calendar event or timer is set to 5 minutes interval (e.g. 13.45 or 13.50), not to one minute (e.g. 13.47), so you very often need only the tapp function and you are done.
