Hi Sailors,
Here is my idea how to safe battery-life on Jolla without any sacrifice:
I noticed, that if I m running low on battery turning 2G on instead of 4G gives me a lot more battery-life. There for I thought the Jolla phone could always switch automatically into 2G mode when it is locked (or eg. 10min after you locked it). As soon as you unlock the phone connection will go back to 4G (or 3G) and give you full connection speed. If you have locked the phone but tethering is on the connection should stay in fastest mode when being locked.
The point is, that I dont need a fast internet connection in standby for synchronising emails, whatsapp, threema, weather apps etc. because it doesnt matter if synchronising emails takes 2s or 10s, as I m not waiting for it anyway.
I imagine to increase battery-life dramatically with this trick. Of course it would be good to be able to turn the feature on and off.
