What Makes Nokia N9 Extraordinary - Sound Effect and Touch Feedback
I am not trying to complain, but suggest and memorise this masterpiece done by Nokia and post Meego team. I can tell these kind of improvement are not expensive at all, and they make everything look and sound better.
Indeed, Nokia N9 is a product of perfectionism. The sound effects and touch feedback are marvelous.
Sound Effects 1. The moment you close an application in Nokia N9 2. The moment you turn the volume up or down 3. The moment your battery level is low 4. The moment you find that how amazing and realistic sound effects the sounds are when your fingers pressed and released on keyboard
Touch Feedback the vibration feedback just follows your finger and so realistic that makes the typing experience in Nokia N9 triumphs over all mobile phones including latest iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6
I sincerely hope that Jolla 2 / Sailfish Os 2.0 can continue those edges in Nokia N9 and
let us not to forget the legend of Nokia N9...
Haptic feedback is very much dependent upon the hardware. The N9 had a fantastic LRA with a really short response time, whereas the Jolla1 has an ERM vibra. It is simply impossible to recreate the sort of haptic effects which the N9 provided, with ERM hardware, unfortunately.
In general, I definitely agree that non-graphical-feedback is one area which I personally would like to see improvements in, in future Sailfish OS devices.
