Battery consumption after 1.1.7

My battery consumption grew enormously after the Björnträsket update. Now the battery won't last for 24 hours in normal use and with a little surfing I must load the battery twice a day. How about yours?

For how long have you used the same battery? What does your capacity reading say? (just to confirm if the issue relates to the battery itself)

Also, would any of these 85 question tagged with battery or 19 questions with battery-consumption help in your issue?

I had the feeling that battery consumption got lower after 1.1.7 update.

My battery capasity is 84,62%. It's been in use since Dec. 2013.

@Youde Sounds good enough to last for longer, so there really might be issues related to this release. Thanks for bringing it up! @Giacomo You see it as improved? (lower consumption in your phone)

For me battery consumption shrinked. I use hunger-meter and I can see the average consumption especially when idling is much lower than before. Also my battery lasts longer than before...

I would suggest two steps:

First one: if you haven't rebooted your device since upgrading - do it. There are many issues already discussed which were solved by restarting device. After Reboot device will index your media files, so the first minutes to hours (depending on the amount of media files) are maybe even worse or equal to now but after that time it should be better.

Second one: If the mentioned behaviour lasts, install "lighthouse" from jolla-store. click on processes, if there is a process constantly using 30-50% CPU, it would be the reason for your described behaviour. Then just post the name of this process maybe we can help further...

Tried No.1-Reboot, but there wasn't much difference in consumption. Looks like I'm still using around 40 - 50% power in a few hours.

No.2 - Can't see anything using any more than around 12% CPU. Lipstick goes up to around 17% when I tap the screen to take a screenshot, but it soon drops back to around 2% - 7% (fluctuating between the two).

Are you confident with developer mode? I would further suggest to have a look at the btfrs filesystem. How much space is left on your memory?

Things seem to have stabilized over the past few days. After taking it off charge this morning. I've used it pretty much the same as my first post and it's at 73%. It could have been a network issue, poor signal causing the drain.
