I am little puzzled when to use zendesk and when together? I think that there is a lot of overlapping. How customers are informed about zendesk?

I am puzzled. Help me!

I would say if you have general type question. One that could also be asked in a forum and you don't need a official answer to - use together.

If you however have a question that involves your personal data or you need a official answer then use zendesk. An example could be questions about your payment/shipment.
