Hello,

after the update, I've lost all my snapshots. I completly forgot to put them on my sd card and now I don't have them anymore.

I saw that there's a command like "btrfs restore" but I can't find a way to use it properly in the Terminal.

"Btrfs fi show" gave me : "ERROR : could not open /dev/mmcblk0p28 could not check mount status : permission denied" "Btrfs -s" gave me : "too few arguments" most of the time or "permission denied"

When I write "btrfs" I can see that there's a lot of things that can help like "btrfs subvolume snapshot {-r}"

Well, I think it can help, but I don't know for sure.

Can someone help me with that ? I really want to get them back. Just the last one would be great

Thanks !

EDIT 1 : With root, I can get through the "permission denied" (I forgot to log in) but now there's this : " /dev/mmcblk0p28 is currently mounted. Aborting." When I scan the device, it shows me correct information from the state before the update : "13.75GiB used 12.37GiB path..." The datas are still there, right ?

you should use recovery shell for that, not a terminal

Can you tell me how to do that ? I'm not really good at it.

Are you sure you lost your photos? I had kind of a similar experience after the update. My photos were not showing in gallery anymore, only some album art from a couple of podcasts were showing.

However, I used "File Browser" to look directly in the directory at filesystem level and there were all the jpg and png files happily stored. =:o) Check in /home/nemo/Pictures. You can also do it from the terminal with the command ls -l /home/nemo/Pictures

I don't quite remember what I did to have Gallery reindex my photos, but eventually they all came back. Either it was a reboot or I manually kicked the indexer in settings. Sorry to be fuzzy about this here. But first, check if your photos are really gone for good before starting to tinker with Btrfs.

I didn't loose them with the update. I couldn't do anything in the Store and Warehouse and delete any of my apps after so I did a reset; but I forgot to put my snapshots (backups ?) in my SD card. I've lost my photos (but it's ok, I saved them on my computer) and everything else in my snapshots. I saw there's a way to get them back and some help would be really appreciated :)

PLS elaborate on what do you mean by snapshots? Did you take filesystem snapshots? How can you lose something with that?
