Watching long videos in jolla-gallery is a little bit pita.

Problems:

  • If you touch somewhere at the corner it is likely to swipe to the previous/next video by accident.
  • Swiping back starts from the beginning of the video.
  • Not possible to see time bar without pause playback.

Possible solutions:

  • It should be possible to start a video at the same point where you leave (like n9-videoplayer)
  • Swipe to next video should be only possible if video is paused.
  • Show timebar on tap and pause button or pull-menu to pause

It would be also nice if the Gallery video player supported Cover mode, so it would continue playing in background. This already works for videos played in Sailfish browser.

@kelvan totallty agree, most importantly is standard video playback controls:

fast forward, back slow forward, back skip to next, previous pause

the share menu should require a different touch then the single touch and be part of pulldown menu next to delete, the other functions mentioned above could be single finger, dual finger, or three finger taps on the screen.
