Welcome all (as it is my first post here). I have been planning to buy Jolla Phone in near future (probably in one or two months). Now I noticed that both "Jolla & Angry Birds Stella" and "Jolla Smartphone" are out of stock. I feel a bit concerned. Are there any plans for the new delivery of phones?

If you just want a phone that can run Sailfish OS, you can pick one from this list: https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris

Unfortunately that is not a solution for me, I am looking for a phone for daily use not only for experimenting, testing, modding etc. . Either way thank you for the answer.

i'm glad that i ordered just one more piece, clonned device is now stored at safe place and i start to use leather cover with new device to maximize lifespan (first time in my life some device deservedly wearing any kind of protection :)

Elisa Estonia seems to have a few left, and another European options are in Italy. Also the one and only, monumental "Jolla showroom" in Almaty, Kazahstan, should have pieces left even for testing in the shop there :D That would be a place I'd like to visit, they did something great for Jolla.

In the "golden times", there were more than 50 retailers listed behind that link, now it's down to few. In overall, Jolla Phone is getting out of stock everywhere, and there's no news on any next production batch. Jolla is focusing on software. The next Sailfish OS phones are expected to be launched in India by Intex, scheduled for November

I've just added 2 more outlets for purchase of Jolla phone; amazon.co.uk and amazon.it (both with limited stocks).

There is supposed to be a new company handling the hardware development.

  • It's unknown if they use Jolla Shop as a selling channel. Even the tablets don't use that, instead there a separate shop called "Jolla Pre-Order Online Shop" under the same domain
  • It's unknown when this new company is established, so we simply need to wait for news on that. Yeah, they might announce a Jolla branded device... when they have the personnel, financing, selling channel, production partner, etc. to deliver one.
  • It's unknown if they use TJC as a forum for their devices, or will this be used only for reporting on Sailfish OS software.
  • It's even unknown if they use "Jolla" brand on their devices, but that is somehow expected

I see this upcoming company as a partner for Jolla, similar to any other new partners who are licensing Sailfish OS. On the current knowledge, Intex is the next to come out with a device, and there are no news on any other companies delivering one.

It seems there is already Jolla Mobile Oy founded on 26.09.2014 that is specialized in "Manufacture of communication equipment (26300)" and it is operating at the same address as Jolla Oy.
