It would be handy to easy close the activated tab by long-pressing the tabs-icon in the menu-bar.

I don't think it takes long time to press the sandwich menu to the right and then press the [x] button to the left (where the tabs-icon was). As a matter of fact I believe it to be faster.

+1 with @Tanghus. And don't necromance such old topics, browser's UI has changed a lot with SFOS 2.

My crystal sphere says, we will get a new browser with SFOS 3 anyway.

This could be combined with a tab switching function: tap and drag left or right on the tabs icon to change tab.

The closing could be included with remose timer or yes/no question to avoid accidental closing of active tab.
