[bug] tapping on android notifications sometimes doesn't work

sometimes it doesn't work in that the android application does not gain focus. from the notifications screen, if I tap on the android notification (WhatsApp in my case), it goes back to the home screen and stays there.
also, during the times when it works, I sometimes am unable to type anything in the WhatsApp text bar at the bottom. keyboard is present. I see word prediction happening normally. but the keys I enter are not reflected in the text bar at the bottom. I have to swipe down to close WhatsApp and fire it up again to have it work normally again.
