I don't know how to reproduce this but sometimes the browser gets into a state when nothing happens when I click on any of the links. When this happens, switching between tabs or reloading the page doesn't help - the only way to workaround it is to close the browser app and open it again.

Edit 1 according to many people who provided feedback here, 1.0.2.5 does NOT fix this

EDIT 4.2.2014 many reports confirm that the bug is still present in 1.0.3.8

EDIT 20.0.4.2014 added 1.0.5.16 tag as reproduced on this build too

EDIT 12.06.2014 added 1.0.7.17 tag as reproduced on this build too

EDIT 21.01.2015 is this still applicable to 1.1.1.27 can anyone reproduce?

EDIT 02.10.2018 this is also applicable to 2.2.1.18 - For example eBay mobile pages, fine to begin with, but page/s get slower and slower scroll/select options from menus/click links like 'Mark as dispatched', etc.

For bluewhale it's a completely different issue, you just have to poke around hard until it registers. I don't know why this happens

There may be several issues here, but at least for the ampparit.com we identified the reason and have fixed it. The fix will be in the next update.

Since this is still happening on some sites, please if you find such site comment here. Thanks.

For me it has occoured on the mobile twitter site, but I'm not sure how to reproduce. It just happens sometimes.

For me I was avle to get it jammed when surfing this together site. What happens is the browser was only taking text input in search field. Recover is done by flipping down the browser and open it again.

@NiklasW by ”flipping down” you mean closing the browser app, and starting again ;) In my case nothing else helps,.and that's why it should be fixed. Problem is this seems to be hard to reproduce as there might be many causes for this :P

@jjaone If restarting browser doesn't help then it may well happen that browser's startup cache got inconsistent somehow. Try to remove the directory /home/nemo/.mozilla/mozembed/startupCache.

Hello. I want to add an information to this problem. At least on my phone this problem always occurs after clicking on a link while the browser is loading a website. For example you click on one link and the browser starts loading, but the site is still visible. When you quickly click on another link the browser starts loading that link. When it is finished, the browser won't show a reaction when clicking anything on the site. You have to.close the browser completely to get it working again. PS: Sorry for my English ;)

This is what I have seen as well, the browser becomes unresponsive after clicking the articles on for example feber.se and I have to restart the browser to be able to click anywhere.

To me this started to happen some time ago and was not an issue within the first couple of weeks after started to use Jolla. Now the issue is present for example on the discussion forum: keskustelu.jatkoaika.com

Thanks!

happened to me with 1.0.3.8 in various contexts and many different sites.

zemideluxe ( 2014-02-06 19:35:45 +0200 )edit

the bug appeared on the web interface of my company's ms exchange server. To be more precised, form fields were clickable and recognized (I could type in text) but hyperlinks were not working. This is surely not the newest webmail software version.

This is not an answer, it should've been a comment...

This still happens to me very frequently, especially noticable in facebook's messages. It's more common that the touch is completely off (or doesn't work) than it is that it's actually working.

Touch being completely off is discussed here: https://together.jolla.com/question/9253/bug-browser-touch-position-link-problems/
