After the white progress bar was full, it told me 'the update fail, press OK to restart' After this reboot, my Jolla doesn't work anymore. It boot, but it hang. The touch doesn't work. @linuxuser - I had the same problem, as in the update failed just after starting the install

The only way round for me was to TELNET into the device via USB and reset.

See here for the recovery process; https://together.jolla.com/question/22079/howto-all-computer-users-recover-or-reset-a-device-that-is-stuck-in-boot-loop/ - there are instructions for 'linux-users'.

Obviously, you will lose your data if you choose to do a reset via TELNET - it may be that your data is still intact, I wouldn't know how to find out though or retrieve it.

But there definitely is information on how to do the latter somewhere around here on TJC, do not be afraid. It's just sad that you have to spend time on recovery now :-(

All the instructions (including how to backup your data) are maintained here: https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204709607-How-do-I-use-the-Recovery-Mode-

I copy all my data over ssh to my desktop today. Now i made Recovery over telnet and my Jolla work again. But it made a recover to SF 1.0.0.5 (Kaajanlampi). Is it possible to jump directly to 1.1.9.28 ? Thank you all for your help :)

NO you don't go direct! One step at a time. And, don't be tempted to install any extras, until you are up to date

It's possible to jump straight to 1.1.9.28 but not recommended.

My Jolla found the first update (1.0.2-10.12.5.jolla). But i forgot, how many updates are between this release and the release 1.1.9.28. I think, i will see.

if I remember correctly, the upgrade path should be like this: 1.0.0 -> 1.0.2 -> 1.1.2 -> 1.1.7.28 -> latest

as @g7 states, but I think it is just > 1.0.2.5 > latest, you will see what gets offered. Do not attempt a manual upgrade from CLI! As tempting this might be, the GUI provided upgrades are the way to go. And do not install anything or recover backups until you are at 1.1.9.x!

Did you went to the Store to see how much Android download we are up to by any chance? :)
