Native apps (clock) failed to update

1. This is not an answer to this question.
2. Patches aren't system updates.
3. Patches aren't a viable solution to fix issues/bugs.

Someone will wait until Jolla update will come, someone will use this patch.

1) 2) To me this is a good answer. Considering all the comments to the OP what we have here is not a bug or a problem with the system update, but a last miniute design (re-)decision.

3) Knowing what we all here know about SFOS and Jolla, patches are viable solution to fix this issue.

@rburkhanov, the question is invalid, the Clock app updated just fine. There's just no change to the cover, so this question is not relevant. There might, or might not be an update to the type of cover shown in the media pictures, they're just concept art. So there's no fix needed because in the end, there's no issue, just a graphical design that has not and might not ever get released.

How do you ever see SailfishOS going forward and Jolla noticing and listening to the users, if you are happy when someone introduces a patch and see that as a solution? If patches are found to be viable options by the users, then it's a message to Jolla that they don't need to fix/modify this - users have already found a solution they are happy with, so why waste resources. That's why I'm basically against patches, they aren't solutions to the problem for the majority, just workarouds for a small group.
