I miss the possibility to quickly share a link directly from the browser UI; there's the "Share" option in the pulley menu, but it only offers me e-mail. I'd like SMS and whatever instant messaging account I have configured, too.

FYI: The SMS share plugin >1.0.3 supports sharing URLs: https://openrepos.net/content/martonmiklos/sms-share-plugin
You can share only the link and you can share with the title of your bookmark url as well.

To share a web link via SMS you have to: - press the button which opens new windows (between favorites / reload) - click on the link and hold it until copy/past dialog appears - then left to righ / right to left to get to Main Menu - select SMS - select contact - when the copy/past button appears select it
that is so long winded.
Could it not be implemented in the menu similar to one when holding my finger on the website image - Open image in new tab / Save to Gallery rather then going through so many steps?
