No pre-requisites exist but CalDav is partial only for now, and thus this question for the most part is duplicate of this:: https://together.jolla.com/question/534/support-for-caldav-based-calendars-eg-google-calendar/

Please note that CalDav-supprt (e.g. sync with Google) is only one-way currently and happens only when Google acc is created and/or sync-setting is toggled off and on.

Closing this; to get full Google calendar support please vote and follow the guestion that this is a duplicate of. Thanks.

The combination works for me, with limitations (the sync is one way, and it so far it does not support calendars on Google which somebody else has shared with me.)

One thing you should check: check that you Google account is OK (active/one) on the phone, I think that I had to "turn it on" after the system update, but that could have been an coincidence. You should see the account status by simply entering its settings.

Upddate: the CalDav-support is partial and one-way only currently, but no other pre-requisites exist to get it working (except having Google account defines and sync enabled). See more info in the question that this is a duplicate of..

Ok, I didn't know there is a limitation that shared calendars csn't be synced. In mine I am having only events that I am bringing as ical from other calendar (fambit).

but the ones created in the google calendar are not synced either. How often should it sync?

I have noticed that the Google calendar only syncs when I unset & set the synchronization setting for the google account. Is that not needed for anybody else?
