I'm talking about the Jolla Store.

A few days ago I tried to install an app over an unstable wifi network. It disconnected the device while the store was downloading an app - and now it's stuck. The app is visible among "My apps" in the "Installing" section and continues to display as "Waiting" even after several days.

If I try to download any other app, it also shows up as "Waiting" (without ever actually doing anything), presumably because it wants to wait until the previous one is downloaded which is apparently never.

NOTE: a reboot fixes it, but I'd expect the Store to be able to come back to its senses.

Just to make thinks clear I think its better to ask: are you talking about jolla store, yandex or some other? (I had this exact problem with amazon store, but I guess it's possible it happens on others also. If it is indeed amazon store, I know fix for that)

@JPS I'm talking about THE store; the Jolla store! Updated my question to reflect that.

Anyway, yes, a reboot did solve it, but it's still a bug IMO.

Most likely PackageKit hang. Instead of rebooting you can try to kill the dead packagekitd and try again, while you hope for a more stable release of PackageKit (we all do!).

Sure I can do that, but I don't think you can expect an end user to do it.

Did you try to reboot or kill the package manager process from terminal?
