Delete all contacts from phone

I have a whole bunch of unused contacts on my phone, SIM and gmail, so I decided to manually add all my important contacts to outlook alone. I would now like to delete all other contacts on my phone and simply use only the contacts from outlook going forward. Is there an easy way, maybe from the terminal, where I can delete all possible contacts on my phone in one go and then sync up to outlook to display only those contacts?

Sorry if this is a duplicate question, I couldn't find a similar one when I searched.

There's info on how to do it from the terminal here: https://together.jolla.com/question/67034/howto-reset-user-databases/

Settings->Apps->People->(pulley menu) Delete all contacts

Doesn't that work?

Delete all other contacts, not delete ALL contacts, not quite what the OP was asking :)

Account contacts will still be there. But do you really want to remove them from this point?

Markkyboy: "Is there an easy way, maybe from the terminal, where I can delete all possible contacts on my phone in one go" - that means all to me.

cy8aer: uhm... ok, then the delete "all" doesn't work, but it'd be a matter of deleting the accounts that sync?

It states both, all other and all, so we are both right. Interpretation is a bitch! :D
