Would Jolla consider to offer an encrypted, cloud-based, automated back-up system allowing users to easily back up/restore/duplicate their configuration and contents? Ideally, this would separate user contents and system configuration, including a diagnose/repair component for the system part.

(comment to self) As I would be ok to pay a fee for it, maybe this could also be a source of revenue for Jolla (possibly in partnership with an established cloud provider), as well as a useful information for OS development teams. In particular, it would be a strong incentive for corporate customers willing to manage large fleets of phones and tablets for professionals.

The first and last attempt of that was younited, which blew up in their faces. And maybe append to the existing topics. https://together.jolla.com/question/65964/feature-request-cloud-service-for-jolla-tablet-and-phone/ and https://together.jolla.com/question/1168/secure-backup/

The idea is to make it with an added value from Jolla. Hence, a marketing argument and a profit centre.

Nothing special and in terms of android and iOS you do want with someone else than your phone manufacturer or google and before we start syncing... how about complete backups?

OK I repeat: the idea is to create a Jolla specific service, providing not only data back-up (anyone can do that locally) but also personalized system health care, diagnose, repair, optimization, restoration and duplication for multiple devices, possibly with a set of typical reference user profiles.
