Hi all, I have a problem with my alarm sound settings.

When I choose an own sound for the alarm clock in the evening it works the next morning. But by evening Jolla has changed the alarm sound back to the standard jolla-sound. And this happens every day.

Does somebody else have the same problem? Is there something I can do about this? Before the latest update I could save the alarm clock sound to the different ambiences. But this doesn't work anymore?

Maybe this problem is related to the changing of ambiences. At least once I can change the ambience without that the alarm sound changes by itself. But after several changes of the ambience the alarm sound setting is back to the standard-sound again.

Thanks for your help! BR, tt

I think this is connected to the way the ambiences are now working. A number of people have set their own tones and they revert to the Jolla defaults. Very annoying and unwanted. Can you tag with 1.1.9.28 as well please so we can get as much attention as possible!

OK! I'll try to do that :)

I can confirm this bug still is present on 2.0.4.13

Still present on v2.1.0.11.

  • E.g. I use the red "Intensive" Ambience. Changed its name to "0% Intensiv" (German). 0% tells me ringtone is 0%. Assigned a song from music selection on SD card.
  • Song disappears from Ambience after restart of JP. The alarm sound of the watch I use resets to default after reboot of the phone.
  • Looks like setting is stored temporarily?
  • Is this connected to the Ambience's designation? There are some special characters, e.g. whitespace, or the % sign. Did not check that, yet.
  • Edit: Renamed Ambience to "Intensiv" (no special characters). Reboot -->formerly assigned song is not assigned any more, "watch" (clock?) is part of the "add actions" list, which means: not assigned.
  • Choose another song from SD card that does not contain whitespace (filename: 303). Reboot --> missed, again.
  • Choose a default ringtone instead of a song: Nadeshiko Pink Alert 1. Reboot --> clock assigned, ringtone assigned.
  • Renamed Ambience to "0% Intensiv". Reboot. Nadeshiko... still there.
  • My early conclusion: designation of Ambience does not matter, while selection of ringtone does. Picking a "default" sound survives reboot. Selecting an mp3 file from SD card fails.

Hope this helps. Thank you for reading.

Still present on 2.1.2.3.

To reproduce:

  • Assign a song to an Ambience's clock
  • Set alarm to +1 minute --> song is played
  • Restart phone
  • Set alarm to +1 minute --> default (Jolla) sound is played
