Android stores on tablet

Really cool that the tablet finally ships; it's beautiful!

When the installation asked me if I want to run Android apps, I chose both Aptoide and Yandex, because why not.

It didn't work very well and I ran through the happenings on IRC, but I should have taken actual notes on everything that happened... The following is as accurate as I can make it.

I got a "com.something.whatever not installed" (paraphrasing from memory) error installing Aptoide. Yandex went in cleanly.

OS update in between here.

After that I uninstalled the appstores, and reinstalling asked me if I wanted to update installed apps(!) - and yandex listed org.onepf.openiab.permission.BILLING as something requiring attention, terminating the installation with saying the app's not installed.

Jolla Store told me Yandex is installed, though it was not visible in the app icons.

Uninstalled Android Support. Aptoide remains, Yandex still thinks it's installed. Trying to launch Aptoide pops up the Jolla Store telling me to install Android Support. [would it make sense that uninstalling Android Support uninstalled all Android apps?]

Tried also uninstalling Android Support - rebooting - reinstalling, but that did not help. Both stores visible, Jolla Store saying neither is installed.

Factory reset.

The two Android stores.

After Yandex asked for permissions and seemed to go through a-ok, Aptoide told me com.aptoide.partners - App not installed.

My current situation is that Jolla Store thinks I have both stores installed, but I have the icon only for Yandex.

Anyone want to try to reproduce this or hunt this down?

I'd rather not do any more factory resets...

Speculation is not helpful, but can there be something like a race condition when installing the apps simultaneously?

PS. A couple of times I saw the same app store (couldn't tell which was which) in two small covers, the other of which went gray pretty soon after that. This might be relevant to the Android runtime.

Hope someone can take better notes and formulate a better version of this issue, or that this is a one-off thing that affected only me :)

I had similar problems with the stores not appearing in the app list. I just uninstalled them (from store) and installed them again and then they appeared... I did reinstalled android support as well, but I'm not sure if it was before or after I got the stores to install.

Also, Yandex store didn't work for me (just like all other android apps) if "Allow Android apps to access your contacts" is unchecked. Just got an "Unfortunately, system UI has stopped" in all android apps until I allowed contact access...
