[Tablet] Adding OpenXchange accounts failes while working on phone - Why has activesync been replaced with sailfisheas?
I have subscribed to an OpenXchange account offered from Mailbox.org. I added this account on my phone and it still works fine even on SF2.0. Adding the account exactly the same way to the tablet does not work (though I noted there are some slight differences regarding the account settings, e.g. for the sync interval). I've therefore copied .config/libaccounts-glib/accounts.db from both my tablet and my phone to my PC and compared the content using sqlitebrowser. I noted that what was a service called "activesync-email" is now "sailfisheas-email". I noted several changes in the individual settings for this account. I have therefore simply replaced the accounts.db database on the tablet with the version from my phone. However, this didn't work in the first place, since the system seems to overwrite the accounts.db on shutdown. I therefore didn't reboot the tablet properly after copying but stopped it with the "halt" command which did the trick, and the accounts appeared after reboot (sorry for this "harsh" method, there is probably something less brutal but well, it worked:-)). Eventually. All accounts? No, Exchange was missing (even though it is still present in the accounts.db file)! I presume Jolla changed something in the exchange connector on the tablet compared to the phone, in particular, "activesynce" was replaced with "sailfisheas" on the tablet which doesn't really work :-( Can you please bring activesync back? Thank you.
As @Kontio said, this is the new implementation of Exchange Active Sync. No, we cannot bring back the old one ;-) But yes, we are working to continually improve this new EAS implementation.
If you can fetch logs of the synchronization after adding the new Exchange account on your tablet, that would greatly help us track down the source of the problem.
First, ensure that /home/nemo/.config/eas-sailfish.conf has:
then reboot device if you had to change those. Then add the account, and trigger a sync. Collect those logs and email them to me at chris dot adams at jolla dot com and I will forward them onto our EAS experts.
Thanks!

We have identified the cause of this bug and are fixing it as we speak. I cannot give an ETA for when the fix will be released, but hopefully very soon.
