I have now a Brodit brand holder in use with Jolla. I compared the size of various phones to Jolla, and based on that ordered a holder for Samsung Galaxy S4 Active (not the normal S4). Jolla fits in that well - but note that my N9 was a bit more loose with the designed-for-N9 holder, so the S4 Active holder is not necessarily perfect if you plan to use any sort of extra cover or eg. a bulkier Other Half.

So in summary, the S4 Active holder is ok for Jolla, but there is not a millimeter of extra space in either thickness or width.

Brodit even has two universal car holders. I use the smaller one of them for Jolla and the phone fits perfectly. The power supply integration is missing nevertheless and separate cable is needed.

Yes, this could be option of course, i have universal holder , but there is always some plastic that can scratch jolla , thats why i was thinking about original one designed by jolla self.

Pozdrav

iGrip T5-40130 SmartGrip'R x'tra - I have the smaller size for the N9... there is no plastic scratching just silicone fits... and will order this one for the jolla I already have 2 random chargers and 2 USB ports in my car... why add a proprietary one?

Not sure if this should be an answer or comment. I'm going for a qi powered charger/holder. Not sure yet if this will be the Nokia CR-201 or one from China (http://dx.com/p/qi-standard-car-wireless-charger-transmitter-w-360-degree-rotation-holder-black-245707). Modifying my OH to support wireless charging is already work in progress.

CR-201 is nice holder. However, it is very expensive. My solution: I have Nokia CR-122 holder (was for N8 and also N9 fitted well). As Jolla is wider than N9 I had to slightly cut shorter two clips holding the phone. Jolla now fits perfectly and is firmly attached to the window.

I also plan to add wireless charging to Jolla and for my CR-122 holder. Even considering the modification cost, it is going to be much cheaper than Nokia CR-201 holder.

I agree, the CR-201 is pretty expensive. It will cost you around €70. That's why I consider to go for the mentioned holder from dx.com. That will cost me somewhere between €30 and €40.

I would prefer the CR-201 though if only it could be attached to a proclip. Too bad Nokia won't allow you.

Jarno, yes, your solution is also good (and cheap!). Test it out and let us know how it fits Jolla. Would love to see some photos of Jolla attached to this holder. *CR-201 is expensive and has serious technical issues reported. Also I can not use holder that needs to be attached to the dashboard.

I'm using Nokia CR-123 holder and Nokia DC-20 charger.

I ordered a universal holder from brodit with item number 511308. You can adjust the width of the holder and it should have enough spare room for a thicker other half.

Nokia CR-123 car holder and HAMA Business Rollup Car Charging Cable with microUSB works perfect, just like being designed exactly for the Jolla.

First I would say that the one general (best) car holder does not exist. Because it is depend on car model. The CR123 should be good for Mini and some other with arm for Galaxy for example.

Personally I hate free cables in the car. So I looking for complex and compact solution with charging of course. Some like as Brodit system. Just click-in and drive. I have not found yet. :(

So far I have made an imperfect solution. Inspired by dash-cam mounting. I stretched additional cable from the fuse through the A-pillars via roof and terminated by CL plug. Next I used some common 2A cigarette to USB adapter and finally used Sony Ericsson EC-600L Angle micro USB Charge Data Cable. As car holder I have the universal AnyMode 50-75mm.

If anybody knows the car holder with usb charging compatible with Jolla dimensions or have some useful idea, please post here.

Print your own active holder. It fits with a brodit standard-holder. Look at the project on thingiverse.

Yea, I printed this holder by a company who send me the printed one few weeks ago. It holds my Jolla very well, but I'm still searching for a Micro-USB 90° Plug-Cable which will fits into this holder so the phone will be charged. I mounted the holder on my old N900 Dashmount holder ball-type pin-joint which is mounted to the new dash mount plate in my Leaf.
