Is there really implemented h.264 codec in video recording ? I checked how big is video file wich duration is 1min50sec - about 128Mb, old file recorded before update 1min45sec - 127Mb. The file extension in both of case is mp4. I think information about h.264 in OS 2.0 is fake or I can't switch codec in my Jolla Phone. Does anyone tested new codec ?

Regards.

Yes. At least vlc showed h.264 when i checked the codec info. However the resolution was 1920x1088 which was weird.

I don't see any differences between old and new codec. Quality of video and file size recorded before and after update is the same. I don't understandt reason for change of codec. I think h.264 is worst choice because it more charges processor and battery is faster unloading.

I seem to recall that there were problems with playback with the old codec. You can check the bugs in TJC for that.

There is a question concerning the quality of recordings here.
