option to edit or add ip address to mobile network settings

Hi Sailors. I have wanted to use a routing android app that listens to a certain ip address different from my ISP default ip, but am unable to edit my ip address in mobile network settings, which is just ridiculous since the same option is present in MMS settings. Can't Jolla add this to the Mobile network settings so we can configure an ip address different from the default or at best give an option to have more than one mobile network setting? Am I the only one that needs this feature?

Just use ifconfig on the console... ;)

@juiceme care to elaborate how I can achieve that? Really need this option on my Jolla at least till they approve this feature request which makes sense from whatever prospective it is looked at

1) There is no setting in the MMS access point settings to modify device ip-address to be used within MMS context.

2) Modifying the mobile network operator provided ip-addresses to something else (or adding VIP's) won't help you connecting to the outside world as the connection with that modified will be certainly be blocked by the mobile network operator.

3) Honestly I do not understand what you are trying to achieve. What is the name of the Android app you are trying to use?

First off, I appreciate the reply anyway it may be, it takes time to type an answer and I appreciate that man. There is a proxy setting for the mms access point under mobile network settings where it says mms access point. under security there is a proxy setting where the proxy address of my network provider is, this proxy setting is the same I request be added to the mobile network access point settings. I know my way around configuration and there is no way I would not know how to get it solved if I temper with the ISP default proxy address. My point is, on N9 there was also this limitation of only one access point provided for mobile data connectivity but fAPN app provided a way to have more than one, plus MeeGo has the proxy address setting in its mobile network setting. Couldn't possibly be too much to ask to have a proxy address setting included in the mobile network setting, or give option to add a customised access point. The android app is Simple Server, that listens to the proxy address 127.0.0.1 works well on PC and Android devices as on them both the proxy address can be modified to this very IP address.
