It should be possible to format and complete erase a SD card in a phone. Use case: I took a memory card that had been in use in other device and would like to make sure it will work in Jolla. How to ensure that? A) format it in Jolla B) format it in PC some (which?) way? For average Joe it would be easiest to format it in the device itself.

At least a German tech news site mentioned, that you can use Jolla with 64 GB microSD, if the SD is formatted using ext4 or btrfs (http://www.heise.de/open/meldung/Das-Jollaphone-im-Test-2074985.html), i.e. file systems a Windows user cannot create on the PC.

Actually you don't need to format the SD in ext4. Not all the ppl is using Linux desktop. I have formatted mine into N8 in FAT32 and it works perfectly on Jolla

@debexpert: Ok, I removed my edit to the original question. (I do not have a 64 GB SD, so I cannot test this.

@Mariusmssj, @Vesa: In fact, I see it as duplicate as well and closed it. If you think, it is a mistake, comment this and I re-open.
