Is there any possibility to install Android OS on Jolla phone ?

I have bought Jolla phone a year ago because of all marketing hype. But right now after trying to adapt to it`s firmware, quirks and hope of better updates I gave up. Do not get me wrong - I was patient. It just does not work for me, does not fulfill my needs.

Is there any possibility to install Android OS on Jolla phone ? If so, which version and how ? I have tried looking for threads, but all I get is Android app support for Jolla.

Well I was referring to the spirit, not the intrinsic power. After all SFOS is a resource saving engine.

There's plenty of great hardware out there that I don't use because I should use Android, and you want to run Android on that piece of junk that the Jolla is? You want the worst of both worlds?

I can't understand why you'd want to do that at all - but if you're set on wanting Android, you'd be better of selling your Jolla and buying a Moto G or something similar. The money made from the Jolla should easily cover that.

There are plenty of things that do work on other OS but not on Sailfish. Proper bluetooth 4.0 for instance. Android store support for an other. Many vendor will only publish their app only in Play store. Do You need a cloud storage and auto upload? Sorry.

I can not use the local public transport search app. It crashes. I can not use my bt headset app (Jabra) it crashes.

May I go on? ...and I still use and love my jolla but I use a Windows company phone to work.

still its easier to sell the Jolla and get better hardware running Android than installing Android on it.

Leaving aside why you would want to do that - if any, the only possibility to get "Android" natively running on your Jolla phone would be to try your luck with CyanogenMod, as Android would have to be provided by Jolla (the HW manufacturer). However you will have to raise interest with the cyanogenmod community to port it, or maybe start porting it yourself.
