Although it seems like we are going to get the tablets, don't hold your breath while waiting. Might take time before they get the batches done and mailed.

14:48:01 <anttisaarnio> Intex project will continue, we have confirmed that yesterday and there will be new Sailfish phone coming.</anttisaarnio>

14:47:18 <anttisaarnio> Options are: refunding or to continue with tablets, but then even more delays are to be expected.</anttisaarnio>

Nothing was said about the very promising Fairphone-Jolla partnership. The Dutch device Fairphone2 is due to come to delivery next month (with Android, of course). BTW Fairphone told me they have currently no precise schedule for SailfishOS being ported onto their device. Not surprising, as this depends on Jolla first.

IMO, for European users, the real Jolla Two is expected to be Fairphone branded, as the Indian Intex is unlikely to have a sufficient commercial/support organization in Europe in the short term.

Anyway, SailfishOS needs a high-end device (Fairphone) plus a low/mid-priced one (Intex, if it reaches Europe) to become a significant alternative to "iPhoid".
