Is anyone else facing some Android apps like Facebook Messenger, Tripadvisor and Splitwise failing to start? They used to work just fine, but probably together with some Sailfish update, they've got bad. I've tried to reinstall and dowgrade the apps, but it doesn't help. Any idea on what could cause this?

Tried restarting Alien Dalvik and/or rebooting the phone?

Yes, I shut down every night, but I've had the issue for a few months already

Some apps behave badly if they cannot access your contacts database. Check if Android apps are allowed to acces your contacts. (Android section in system settings.)

Thanks! That fixed Splitwise. Messenger and Tripdadvisor keep on failing, though.

  • Another case: Multiple Android app not start if launched in same time.
  • Using share futures from one started android app to another work not properly. Instead switch target app fullscreen, in source app context start another instance target android app.
