This is not a request for a user agent switcher/option for Jolla's stock browser, but just the question: Why is it still not available?

It's a basic option for a mobile browser, I deem a mobile browser unworthy of being a mobile browser without this option. Why? There are a LOT of websites (totally) crippled when not viewable in desktop mode. They are just not working, not working correctly, have an UI from somewhere in the '90's, lack options, especially when filtering.

So Jolla: if you don't seem to get it: fine. But please let us now why holding this functionality back.

No functionality is held back by anyone. The sailfish browser is an open source project.

If you think progress is not fast enough and if you are skilled, join the developers and contribute with your effort at https://github.com/sailfishos/sailfish-browser/.

If you do not like the sailfish browser, you are free to install another one, e.g. Firefox - thanks to android support by Jolla.
