According to the following article, the Intex Aqua Fish running Sailfish 2.0 is to be published during MWC 2016 with some specs: http://www.thegadgetox.net/intex-aqua-fish-running-sailfish-2-0-leaks-in-images-specifications-release-date/

The source of this leak is a finnish site: http://suomimobiili.fi/ensimmainen-intex-sailfish-os-puhelin-esiintyy-vaitetyssa-kuvassa/

Any ideas whether it's a pure speculation, fake or true?

UPDATE: There is a new news from the same Finnish site. Out of the gibberish produced with Google Translator I understood that Intex officially confirmed that it will bring a Sailfish device at MWC: http://suomimobiili.fi/intexin-sailfish-os-2-0-puhelin-julkaistaan-ensi-kuussa-barcelonassa/#prettyPhoto If this is true: Halleluja!

It would make sense to release it on MWC 2016, so it's possible... However it's not (yet) confirmed by any official Jolla employee.

1 Gigabyte of main memory? Making two times the same mistake isn't smart.
The AlienDalvik will eat that little memory within seconds...

Sucks that it only has 8 GB of onboard memory, considering that Sailfish does not offer options to install apps to SD card or directly save data to it. We have seen instances of people quickly running out of the 16GB memory from the original phone.

I hope not with this specs. Minimal is 2 GB of main memory and 16GB of storage.

Suomimobiili doesn't have any new info on the specs, they are only repeating the specs of the Intex prototype phone, linking to an article from July. They add that the specs have probably changed a lot.

Also, they emphasize that they don't know if the image is genuine and that it could well be fake.

But in the second article they do say that Intex has confirmed the MWC 2016 release.

I like how they confirmed that by responding to a tweet about their phone build quality :)

I hope they sell like hot cakes in India or wherever they launch this so the mothership can get some cash.. however sadly existing jolla phone users would downgrade or at best sidegrade by getting this phone..

Or maybe we should just wait for the official specs. announcement, before reviewing the hardware.

Intex build down to a price. Even their flagship Android devices such as the Aqua 4G or the Aqua Extreme II are very mid-range, so I wouldn't expect an Intex Sailfish device to have particularly high specifications.

I think the community have very high expectations due to the nokia background.. nokia really had superb hardware..

@laoghaire - Why the 'apparently' remark?, not sure why you would think it's fake. It's real for sure. Google is a good place to start ;)

Well, the specs of the reference devices from the videos (videos Snapdragon 600 vs latest news Snapdragon 410) are not quite in line with the latest announcement. Accordingly the price tags are all over the place. Also the device itself seem to be the old Jolla with some minor modifications (e.g. flash position on the back cover). What I do believe, and hope for, is that Intex will be presenting the final device in Barcelona

+1 this was a really really early prototype only meant for the congress...

That looks like an Aqua Cloud M6 with a SFOS 1.x screen paint-shopped on to it
