To my understanding, sync now works one way only, so if you add contact on the phone or edit the existing one, it doesn't get back to Google (Same for every Exchange account? Is Exchange still used for Google contacts?).

So this question is for you to vote so that Jolla would be able to see how much interest there is for this particular item compared, for example, to syncing calendar entries or todos.

Nope, there's long discussion about some wrong field type naming.

Well, the discussion is about editing the wrong fields, thus same issue. The wrong field naming/mapping is another issue, which can be found in the comments in that discussion.

Anyhow, from the change log of 1.0.2.5 you could read that google sync was added, and that it was read only, so I think Jolla is already on it (it would be suicide to not have this functionality).

Also duplicate of this and this. Also, hasn't it been confirmed already that two-way sync is officially coming?

I agree, you are right guys. I tried searching for relevant questions, but failed to find these ones. Closing this question as a duplicate
