Usually I don't leave weather app running background. But it seems that the eventsview weather update interval would be longer when the app is not open. Almost every time I open the app, the app page and eventsview will get the latest weather info. So is it the eventsview weather update interval different from the app's? When evetsview's will update?

The events view weather updates when you open the events view. It doesn't have a timed interval to update. So basically every time you open the events view, you should see it updating and getting the latest weather info. And to be noted, there's a bug that causes the update to hang if the weather widget/view is expanded. So it needs to be minimized to be updated.

I know the bug you mentioned, thank you. But I experienced that it didn't update when the eventsview was open. After opened the app and went to eventsview again, it got the latest info.

This seems like odd behavior, you should definitely monitor the situation and if it's constant and the data is only updated after opening/viewing the app, then file a bug. Because it should update when you view it. I've had no problems on the update, it works as it should for me.

I can confirm the behaviour fishegg described. The weather icon in events view is only updated when the app is opened. Otherwise it shows outdated weather data. Sailfish 2.0.1.7 Taalojärvi.

@fishegg, I know what you mean, but I can't reproduce the issue. For me, the weather updates. One note, my Jolla is connected to a Wi-Fi, do you have the issue with mobile network?
