Hello!

Please write all port requests here as answers, and see how many upvotes we can get, to guide our great community porters, current and future ones. Remember to tick the "community wiki" box! Thanks!

Before you do, check maybe someone's already on it:
https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris
https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris/porters

Passive (old) ports are also welcome to appear down here, so they can get picked up and worked on again, seeing that there's interest! Feel free to comment under each answer, if port has definite blockers (locked bootloader etc), but other stalled ports can be resurrected

@JSE, aggregating choices to one vote-able answer biases the poll and might even conceal the intended outcome. We should rather split them to one answer each.

lakutalo ( 2016-02-01 16:21:36 +0200 )edit

Agreed, only one device per answer, and let's not put specs as answers - increases complexity. If you want e.g. 8-10" range, check back regularly and upvote matching answers

Turn this into a wiki and add the suggested devices to the main post so people wont duplicate th entries so much.

But we won't know their upvotes nor respective discussions, also a maintenance nightmare

Geeksphone Revolution

wikipedia

1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 - HSDPA - microSD - singleSIM -

As Firefox OS is abandoned a new OS is needed for this device Geeksphone stopped selling phones so no support from this side but still an active community

Designed for running with different OS but not longer maintained...

two years ago there was a rumour that Geeksphone and Jolla will cooperate and bring Sailfish OS to Geeksphone but that never happened - maybe now? ...

I'm currently using this as a semi-workplace tablet, can't really let that android malware (Google) in our net. I'd love to get 3/4g functionality for it also.

I have made a mostly working port for Galaxy Tab 4 10.1" Wi-Fi, it's still a work-in-progress with various small issues. Biggest issue is camera which is not working due to CM13 for the device. Porting of the 3G/LTE versions might also be possible, in theory it would just be a partial rebuild and some configuration changes.

I think the Asus ZenPad Z580x series is a great choice for Intel based platforms - both in performance, quality of components & make as well as availability ....

Ordered Honor 7 Premium for myself cause my Jolla is dying + readed many positive feedback about signal strenght of device + specs are ok + I personally don't trust warranty of Oneplus after reading a while... Now I just have to hope this device will get Sailfish someday. Or learn to use & live with Android. FP2 wasnt an option for me cause of hardware (camera not so great etc.)

I have an Honor 7 Lite, so hope it is included under the Honor 7 series. I would really appreciate an alternative OS for my phone 😀

Hi @chemist, @jolla / @larstiq : I wish jolla would further evolve the TOH-concept into a long-term standard, so community such as our skilled duo @dirkvl and @kimmoli or other competent commercial HW-developers could find some reason to become active ! I'm sure there's a market, that's why I am campaigning for #SaveTheOtherHalf. : TOHIRI already exists since months as a prototype !! BTW is @markosaukko still with the sailors ?
