I see this often in the browser, pressing the tab button crashes the app. When I foreground the app again it refreshes all the open tabs.
I don't have Taalojärvi on my phone so don't know if the same issue is there but I don't see the issue on Samiaa

This bug seems to be fixed in Sailfish OS 2.0.2.51 Aurajoki release.

I am not able to reproduce this issue on latest Sailfish OS 2.0.2.48 Aurajoki release - can someone else please confirm? :)
I have the same feeling. Haven't had a single crash even when having multiple tabs open and pressing tab button while browsing Facebook feed. But time will tell...
Edit: Wow, I can actually view Jolla Tablet page without Browser crashing. With this pace of updates we may even get fix for the backlight brightness issue in a year or two.

I;m sure it's not putting browser "in background", but simply crashes app totally, so zombie task is visible in switcher. And when you click on it application launching again.
I think you're on to something there, I did ps aux before and after it happens and I see that the sailfish-browser task isn't listed
