I thought a bit about it, and the simple fact is that the money has been gone from my account for so long that I don't miss it any longer. It would be a nice bonus to get the money back, but I don't miss it and strictly speaking don't need it.

However, I do need an alternative to iOS and Android! So in the end, I donated my money rather than claiming the refund, 64GB, Lastu case and all. How about you?

@00prometheus i vote your thread up. shortly i pointed this theme in an other context, in a little bit stormy thread. And told that me too want to donate it, and i'll do so. I may use the money of refund, but for what? i believe that there is currently no alternative to jolla for me. I want that they could make their job further. and for me, it make not sense to remove the money back.
Furthermore by using igg i sweared to me too that is an investment. would not be correct from me to remove it....

From the Jolla Tablet refund tool: "I prefer to support Jolla". That's what I've chosen.

Ah, moral pressure by "exemplary behavior"? :P I bought a birthday present, food and clothes for my children.

Would like to support Jolla. But as I am not sure if they are still alive, I prefer to get the money back.

@Moo-Crumpus the victim, would please stop to accuse anyone with stupid emotionial attack? Every one bring their experience, and don't expect what you should do. They assume their action, like you you assume yours for the gift to your children. That is fine, no way. But accuse others with Moral pressure is not fair. STOP IT ENDLY!!!!!

I pre-ordered and was refunded. I bought Aloe Other Half (via verkkokauppa.com) for support.

Nicely done :), shame that the rare Half's like Poppy Red Half are run out of stock and can't be found anymore.

I have asked for refund and I plan to use that money to get the unofficial tablet from China. IMHO it is a way to support, maybe not Jolla but Sailfish in general. In this moment I prefer to support hardware manufacturers, because this is what is more missing in the ecosystem.

I wanted to get this tablet and made a contribution to receive a tablet in return.

I was contributor number 240, but never got an invitation to give details for shipping. I have asked Jolla via zendesk, but received a mocking reply:

We cannot confirm your position in the list. Regardless, the certification situation and lack of repair service in the country prevent us from fulfilling there.

Now my position can be easily confirmed using igg site: https://www.indiegogo.com/private_api/campaigns/jolla-tablet-world-s-first-crowdsourced-tablet/pledges?page=2140

As for certification issues and lack of repair service, it didn't stop me from buying a Jolla phone before, and my country was listed as supported from day 1 of the tablet campaign.

Such attitude from Jolla doesn't make me eager to donate money to them.

I've asked for a refund and got a confirmation. However, an hour ago I've received an invitation for the tablet...

I'm very surprised, to say the least, but still thinking about opting out, since I can't foresee any kind of development and support for this hardware.

Though I was disappointed not to have received the Jolla tablet, I am much more interested in the continued existence and development work on the OS. As stated by 00prometheus, we need alternatives to Android and iOS, preferably without backdoors for intelligence agencies. This is a niche that is gaining popular support, especially with the continued release of information showing how horrible corrupt those holding the reigns of power are. I hope the crew captaining the development of Sailfish OS recognises the opportunity and shares the vision of freedom and individuality.
