Is it possible to get a virtual machine image with working SailfishOS SDK?

I have difficulties getting default subdirs projects to work. I created a subdirs project, built it and tried to run it, but it can not be deployed.

I have had the same issue before, but after upgrading SailfishOS SDK I managed to create a subdirs project successfully.

I thought it was fixed. Now, I come back and try to create one again, and it fails the same way it used to.

Obviously something has changed in my system, although I have not added any programs or made any changes, except regular Ubuntu updates.

So it would be great if you could distribute VM image with environment where default subdirs project can be created and run. Thanks!

Your problem is not existing. You just need to learn QMAKE and read some articles to increase your knowledge. https://www.google.com/search?q=qt+pro+subdirs

I can not explain how when I create two default subdirs projects the first one succeeds after SailfishOS SDK upgrade and then the next one fails. Except by change of environment. Or maybe it will not let me code on sundays?

I concur with coderus. Distributing a VM would be overkill.

I think it would be great convenience and reduce problems with underlying system -> fewer threads here and fewer problems for developers.

It was suggested elsewhere to remove .config folder everything related to SailfishOS. I did it but still fails the same. Even after new install. Don't understand this. Can not create a subdirs project anymore successfully. I must have created the old project in some way to some folder in right order for it to work or my system settings are somehow messed up. Or I had some kind window of opportunity between upgrade and rebooting the system which made subdirs project work.
