Camera app stuck in video mode + problems changing themes

I have a very strange problem with the camera app. The app is stuck in the video mode. I cannot change the selection back to taking still pictures. Also the other settings in the camera app are unchangeable (WB, focus, ISO, etc.). Reboot does not help. SaisfishOS 2.0.0.10.

Don't know if this is related, but I have also a problem with changing the phone themes. Themes may show (or not) in the pulldown menu, but selecting another theme may not change anything. Similar problems if I try to change the theme from inside the settings. However, when going to the settings menu I may see the newly selected theme pic in the settings background, even if it is unchanged in the phone main screen.

Also, trying to use the backup feature in the settings menu fails. I get a message that "Loading fails" ("Lataus ei onnistunut / Ladataan varmuuskopiotietoja")

Others may have a different opinion, but I would do a factory reset, after backing up files.

You seem to be another user encountering the BTRFS issues. :D Do you have some experience with the terminal? If yes you could visit the link and free up your metadata space.

Have you checked: https://together.jolla.com/question/128772/bug-email-no-refresh-and-top-menu-ambiences-disappeared/?comment=128784#comment-128784? to me looks a little bit the same In my case camera picture was upside down (wt*!?), combined with alot o other problems. Factory reset fixed it for me (don't forget to back up noto app data files, I lost all notes and todo's ;( )...

Seems those hints about "BTRFS" might be the correct cure to my problem. At least I'm able to switch from recording video to taking still pictures! :D

Thanks all!

Sadly I need to inform this solution seems to be only a "half solution". The fix worked at first, but after half a day the problems reappiered. I did the thing again and I THINK it might worg better again... but let's see.

Maybe I'll try the factory reset next. :(

I have the same issue on Jolla1, even ambience stack on black screen.

  1. remove some files from internal storage ( I moved some backups to PC) and reboot phone
  2. reboot phone
  3. check developer tools -> Developer mode enabled and show password
  4. in terminal devel-su btrfs-balancer allocation shows 100%
  5. in terminal devel-su btrfs-balancer balance show progres and finished in 71%
  6. after reboot all functions returned to normal
