Is there any news from Jolla about convergence?

Maybe you've heard of it, maybe you haven't. Ubuntu is coming up with convergence, being able to connect to a screen, keyboard and mouse and having a full desktop environment.

Is Jolla working on this, or do they have any plans?

As it is linux, it would be nice to get like a desktop gnome-ui when i connect a screen.

I think nothing stops you from doing that on Jolla other than not having a video out. You can run a distro on a systemd-nspawn container.

for me a convergence is a join-process from two existing parts. For canonical the two parts would be the mobile-os and desktop-os, is a fine "marketing" name of it... That the two parts already exist by canonical, that make their business easier.
By jolla, there is just a mobile os.
And not forget, the hardware should support is. the ubuntu tablet has an hdmi plug. no jolla-supported has this port... seems to be that this function, on the short term won't be present.
I don't know what they want to do for the long term. From my point of view, that is a point that is really important to differentiate itself from other concurrent. Should not be ignored. and has currently a kind of unlike flair... But first, they should bring a good basis. This function on an unstable os, would make the experience even more bad...

I'd like any news from Jolla, at this time. They've been pretty quiet as of lately...
