Hi I'm going to send my Jolla for repair, but there is still a devicelock on it and needs to get removed.

I could only access recovery mode including shell. A "Reset device to factory state" didn't work neither cleant the devicelock state.

How to clear the devicelock in Recovery Mode so I don't have to share my unclock code to Jolla Support?

Does sharing the code really matter? Just change it when you get the device back.

@pawel You're a funny guy.

At https://together.jolla.com/question/91297/how-to-recover-from-permanent-device-lock/ You could read:

Disclaimer: By following this guide you get into areas where you can brick your device for good easily, just like anywhere you become root, so you better know what you are doing or you void your warranty!

For your info: I'm going to send my phone to customer service for repair. I don't think it's a good idea to take the risk to void my warranty.

@jollailija

The code is a password. In this case for the Jolla device.

What's one of the golden rules about passwords?

Never share passwords.

@RoestVrijStaal No, it is a passcode. Like those number codes at office doors, they are short, easy to remember, may change frequently and are not that effective against the right tools (your data can be read without the code since there isn't disk encyption).
If you use the same code at multiple places, you are doing security wrong. If you have unique pass{words,codes}, giving this one to the Jolla Care guys shouldn't be a problem.
Remember that accessibility is part of good security.
