If the browser is not running and one taps a link, for example in the email app, the browser is launched with the new page replacing the page in the tab that was active last time the browser was running. You can go back to the replaced page by tapping "back", but then you can't go "forward" to the page launched by the link again.

This behavior is inconsistent with how it works when the browser is already open. Then a new tab is created with the link.

I've added some answer on how this could be solved. Vote away! And I made them Wiki as I don't care for karma in voting contests, not for people to edit them.

Suggestion: have a new tab opened when launching the browser by a link, just as is done when the browser is already running.

It should be always new tab.

Another suggestion: make it configurable whether a new tab or the active tab should be replaced.

Other suggestion: have it always replace the active tab when launching a link.
