There is currently no notifications if WhatsApp has been closed.
well, it looks like it is running background stuff, since I get notifications from Hangouts even when I'm not using it at all (and it is closed and no process shows up). Maybe some kind of crontabs ?

Maybe they can add whatsapp to the message app? I believe the whatsapp api is out there.
StanceVonKofsky ( 2013-12-25 18:10:51 +0200 )i will be making my own suggestion for this but perhaps have the option for custom accounts within sailfish so that hackers, or even Jolla (if they are allowed to) can integrate this within messages just like facebook messenger is at the moment. perhaps the same with bbm imessenger and what-not..?
