I have tried to update to 2.0.2.48 which led to a full brick. I restored to factory settings using the telnet method and the updated to 2.0.2.48. Then in installed all the apps i was using and tried to restore the backup i created just before the first failed attempt of updating. It failed updating the backup file at first, because there was not enough space left on the card. After freeing space it seemingly worked and a new tar file was created, that contained all the databases and media files(i verified by unpacking ot onto my laptop). However, the phone did not display any option to restore that backup file. Instead it offered to update the older Backup.tar file again. So i renamed the Backup.tar to something else. After restarting the backup application it now displayed the backup that was created today. The progress circle went to about 2 o' clock, but no further and a message came on that the backup was successfully restored. However, nothing was restored. Everythings just like before. The contents of the tar were unpacked to /tmp on the phone, which i could see. I compared the contents of /tmp and the tar file and they were identical. i have verified the unpacked files to contain valid data like contacts or messages and it's all there. However, the log says that restore scripts were not ran because there was no data to be restored. The total backup size was about 180MB, so no issues like not fitting into /tmp there. This is the shortened version of the log:

Looks like a duplicate of

https://together.jolla.com/question/136773/backup-restore-from-jolla1-to-c-not-work/

to me. I had the same problem and got it working with some manual work along the lines of the answer given to the above mentioned question

Yes, it seems a possible duplicate, though i did not see it at first. However, the solution/script, suggested by https://together.jolla.com/users/415/kelvan/, worked a treat. Very nice! Thanks! I'll mark this a duplicate.

i've faced the same bug after updating to 2.0.2. The provided script indeed fixed my problem

This might be related as well, I could not restore a backup made by 2.0.2.48: https://together.jolla.com/question/139988/bug-jolla-c-cannot-restore-backups-hangs-at-messages-20248/?sort=votes&page=1

Having just deleted all my bookmarks this is really pissing me off. I only want to restore the bookmarks, not everything. Is there a way to be selective?
