My Intex Aquafish (same as the new Jolla C) mobile got permanently locked after entering wrong password 5 times by my friends. I followed this article for factory reset in recovery mode, but most of the things seems to be different.

In the article it says, 'RNDIS' under 'other devices' but isn't there any. I can find only 'Android bootloader interface' under 'TP-LINK Android Phone' as shown in this Image

I blindly assumed both to be same and continued to update the driver of it, but failed to update. I got stuck up in the middle of resetting my mobile. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TJC.

I hope someone with better skills than me gets your phone going. I'm just commenting like this so that you know that I was the one that changed your tags. The how-to tag is reserved for posts that explain how to do certain things with a Sailfish OS-based device. Your posting is a question and as such it can't use that tag. Good luck, though. I am sorry that I can't help you more than that.

After you resloved your RNDIS, you can just alter /usr/share/lipstick/devicelock/devicelock_settings.conf no need to factory reset, at least on Jolla1 you could access it from recovery shell https://together.jolla.com/question/91297/how-to-recover-from-permanent-device-lock/ don't follow the instructions blindly, they are for Jolla1! Once we/you figured it out, I will write another guide.

@vattuvarg - Thank you for the tag related information. I will keep that in mind.

@chemist - I couldn't find any RNDIS as described above and thank you for looking into the issue.

I am only looking at recovering the locked state, rndis should be plug and play, it is a Microsoft invention, when you see the android bootloader, I think you are pressing the wrong buttons. Vol-Up+PwrBtn from off device, should read RECOVERY connect to... on the display, shortly after it vibrates.
